The 2nd annual tidy-up day

On Saturday 11 August 2007 we got out the big skip again! We managed to fill the skip, sponsored by Reading Festival organisers Mean Fiddler, in 4 hours - and recycle some of the more useful stuff too!

10.30am - half an hour in and there's still plenty of skip to fill...

...but it soon gets going - and is this lot under offer?

This year we're trying recycling, including advertising the better quality items on the Freecycle internet site...

...and there are quite a few decent things being offered...

...even a load of sandbags from the recent flood alert!

Here's the team, along with our local PCSO's who dropped in to support us (and pick up a bargain or two!)

By 2.00 it's all over, and we have a full skip - and we've found new homes for many of the recyclable items too.
